Courtney Reed, CRNP, FNP-BC, PMHNP-BC, is a dual board-certified Family and Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner and the founder of True Intention, a practice rooted in whole-person care. She specializes in providing thoughtful, evidence-based psychiatric treatment while also offering health coaching to support sustainable lifestyle change and overall wellness.
With experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings, Courtney treats conditions such as anxiety, depression, trauma-related disorders, and mood disorders through a personalized approach that integrates medication management, psychoeducation, and intentional living.
Through True Intention and True Intention Wellness, she empowers individuals to gain clarity, reduce stigma, and take an active role in their mental and physical health.
Courtney is currently pursuing her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) at Johns Hopkins University. Her work focuses on identifying evidence-based educational strategies to prepare healthcare staff to support the implementation of Family-Based Treatment programs for children affected by obesity, with an emphasis on person-centered, stigma-reducing language.
